MUSTAFA 'MUS' ABUBAKER Born in New York and raised in Atlanta. A two-time graduate of Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia (B.A., English Literature; M.A., Professional Writing), Mustafa is a multimedia creative; an accomplished journalist, writer, and novelist. He authored three works of fiction titled The Surrogate (Xlibris 2009), We Are Also Home (Romusa Media 2020), and Love in the Time of War (Romusa Media 2022). Previously he's worked with Atlanta Magazine, National Public Radio, The GRAMMYs, The Recording Academy, Whalerock Industries, Rolling Stone Magazine, Consequence of Sound, Love Renaissance, Mass Appeal Magazine, Wine and Bowties, Complex Networks, Pigeons And Planes, The Wild Honey Pie, SNIFFERS, Preme Magazine, Daily Chiefers, Early Rising, Creative Loafing, Immersive Atlanta, Arts ATL, The Mainline, Khabar Magazine, Kajal Magazine, India Currents, Fresh Fruit Only, Curiosity Shots, Al-Fusaic, The New Arab, and Swidlife.

Currently, Mustafa is working as a Technical Writer/Editor III for Bowhead Government Support Services, LLC for whom he reports to the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia. He also writes, edits, and publishes his own newsletter at www.therightkindofbrownies.substack.com.
